I came back by to see the article that I read and then commented on yesterday, 03/04/09. What a fool am I? This article from "The American Consumer" was written in 2000! My comment is in 2009 and this is their "Part 2" for "The American Consumer" This is where they say to go to comment on Internet Regulations? (The American Consumer)
Here I am! Where is everyone else? It makes me wonder why (The American Consumer) there is no updated information on their part or anyone else. America WAKE UP!

I agree that the Internet brings some wonderful benefits economically speaking which seems to be the argument in the most part of Internet Regulations. However, it does have a flip side.
1) It can bring accessible adult and criminal information to the minds of our children.
2) It brings a false hope,(without knowledgeable information) that innocent people reach out for when intrigue by others, to make money online. Only to find those that will prey upon that dream.
3) Now it has become one of the easiest ways to engage in third party information, identity theft, and other illegal, unethical acts.
If not regulated we are just giving a permission slip for these and other acts to follow.
This is a decision for the people to at least become aware of, if not already by personal experience.
Let us lay the cards out there and if regulation by government is not the answer then find something that is.
We must endorse strict guidelines and to inform, educate and protect all of those that gain access to the Internet and its world.
We must before they also become victim of any of these experiences and the many more that are out there.
