CapGains absolutely suck! I find it unexceptable for our cheating governments stickey greasy fingers to be in our pockets at every fork in the road. They take my tax dollar at my property closing and go out and buy $1500 hammer that goes in a government closet unused or worse ends up in some government persons house...oh wait I forgot if its over $500 it has to be tagged and accounted for so lets change the price of tha hammer to $499.95 just to keep it off the books.

Capital gains are a way for the govt. to cheat. We had to pay taxes to get the gains, now we have to pay them when we pass them down or additional profit. What did the IRS do b4 the 20's?
