A coalition letter made up of expert policy groups was sent to the U.S. Senate, House of Representatives, and Inspector General of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) calling for an investigation of FTC’s practice of counting “zombie votes.” On October 1st and 8th of 2021, departed FTC Commissioner Rohit Chopra voted on official commission business via email, effectively changing the FTC’s policies after he left the agency. The letter calls on Congress and the Inspector General to investigate this practice and the Commission’s lack of Transparency.

The letter is available here.
