Arlington, VA-Following his testimony before the Ohio House Technology and Innovation Committee on October 28, 2025, Logan Kolas, Director of Technology Policy at the American Consumer Institute (ACI), has provided lawmakers with a detailed overview of some of the most concerning artificial intelligence legislation advancing across the country. During his testimony, Kolas emphasized that while Ohio is working to establish a bold, pro-innovation framework through the Right to Compute Act, many other states are moving in the opposite direction — adopting complex, burdensome, and innovation-killing AI rules.
As noted in his testimony, Ohio has an opportunity to lead with a pro-freedom, pro-competitive, and pro-consumer vision for the Intelligence Era — demonstrating that regulation need not come at the cost of technological progress, economic dynamism, or individual opportunity.
