Arlington, VA-The American Consumer Institute (ACI) has joined a coalition of taxpayer, free-market, and consumer advocates in support of H.R. 6566, the Recycling Technology Innovation Act, and is urging Members of Congress to co-sponsor and advance the legislation.
The bill would provide regulatory clarity for advanced recycling technologies, helping businesses invest with confidence, strengthen domestic supply chains, and keep valuable materials out of landfills. It clarifies that advanced recycling is a manufacturing process—not waste incineration—aligning federal policy with 25 states that already recognize this distinction.
