Today, a coalition of over 40 state and national conservative and tax policy organizations urging Congress to pass pro-growth tax reform before the end of the year. In a letter sent to every member of Congress, the coalition emphasized the urgent need to pass legislation that will provide tax relief for middle-class families, spur job creation in the U.S., and level the playing field for American workers and businesses.
“Come January 1, we must not have allowed another year to pass without the tax reform our nation needs,” the letter states. “We urge you to keep working to pass the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act this year, and call on Congress to remain in session for as long as it takes to get the job done.”
“Tax reform is needed to stimulate the economy and grow jobs. Its time to give consumers their money back,” says Steve Pociask, president of the American Consumer Institute.
The full letter, sent to the office of every House member, can be read here.
