Washington, D.C.— The American Consumer Institute (ACI), a leader in consumer-centric policy analysis, is pleased to announce the promotion of Tirzah Duren as the organization’s new President. In this role, Duren will collaborate across ACI teams and engage with key stakeholders to build upon ACI’s strong foundation of delivering impactful analyses on the consumer implications of government proposals and actions.
Duren joined ACI in 2022 and most recently served as Vice President of Policy and Research. During her tenure, she has been instrumental in driving organizational growth and expanding ACI’s research into new and critical policy areas.
“We are thrilled to have Tirzah step into this leadership role,” said Steve Pociask, CEO of ACI. “Tirzah’s dedication, expertise, and vision have been invaluable to our growth, and we are confident that she will excel in her new responsibilities.”
Reflecting on her new role, Duren shared: “Joining this organization was an easy decision for me because I’ve always believed in the power of policy to make lives better, especially when it’s shaped with the consumer at the center. Policy, at its best, isn’t just about rules or guidelines — it’s about creating a tangible positive impact for individuals and families. This organization has always been about making a difference, and I’m committed to ensuring that our work continues to reflect the values and excellence that define us.”
